Annabelle Popa is a freelance Illustrator, Tattoo Artist and Muralist currently living in the Hudson Valley. Annabelle grew up in Jackson Heights, Queens, attended Laguardia Arts Highschool and has a BFA in Illustration at Parsons School of Design. Growing up in the city instilled an incessant longing for nature, magic, and tall tales. Illustration is her main outlet and she weaves personal mythologies together with local inspiration to reach undiscovered worlds. She is always looking for new ways to push these worlds and ideas in different mediums. Annabelle often works in large scale and has murals in Long Island City, Jackson Heights (Queens), Red Hook (Brooklyn), Poughkeepsie, Kingston, and Ithaca.
