“Guardians of Jackson Heights”
Mural project for the ‘ArtSite’ Grant with Queens Council of the Arts
The concept is based off of the architecture of Jackson Heights as well as folkloric creatures that help represent the current ethnicities who live in the area. I want to depict these fantastical beings as Guardians to the area; that they are here to protect the beautiful neighborhood and the amazing people who live in it.
